Trackmania : Team YoYotech vs Infinity Delta Report match written by Korre - 10 Sunday 2011 - 20:00gmt |
Preview
With 6 deserved points in our pocket, we wanted to continue walking the right path. Infinity-delta was our third opponent, but on paper they seemed to be the "weakest" team in the group. After Inf-d has lost against both RG-Esports and n!faculty, they were already focussing on the return matches against those two teams. Apparently, they didn't believe to be able to beat us, which gave us a headstart.
-
1on1 (ESL - Grenade): Kactus
-
2on2 (ESL - Denolied): FrostBeule - Tamarillo

3on3 (ESL - Suzuka): Sandro - Tamarillo - wells
-
5on5 (ESL - Grenade): FrostBeule - Kactus - Sandro - Sani0 - wells
Match
2on2 (1pt)
This week, we started with the 2on2 submatch.
FrostBeule and
Tamarillo were our dreamteam on the track. With rather unknown opponents like
Safran and
shambo, we could expect a walkover, but that didn't happen.
FrostBeule was struggling in the first few laps, but
Tamarillo was able to stay in front. When
FrostBeule found the rhythm,
Tamarillo had some difficulties to keep the focus. Still, our guys were able to drive upfront most of the time, and some good runs decided the match in our favour:
FrostBeule 55.91 &
Tamarillo 55.99 (WR 55.65).

3on3 (2pts)
Right after the 2on2,
Tamarillo had to play the next match, but this time with
Sandro and
wells. An unseen line-up, but Inf-d was ready on this map. Their threesome was confident to get Inf-d back in the game, but our guys wouldn't let that happen. In a close match on a hard map, the level was very decent. In the end, our experience won from their enthousiasm, but they put up a great fight.
Result: 7-5

1on1 (1pt)
No
FrostBeule or
Tamarillo for the 1on1 this week (as 2on2 players can't play the 1on1), but one of our new key players:
Kactus. Despite the burden,
Kactus made a good impression and was able to neutralize the speed of
Salvatore, a player who's known to be a good 1on1-driver. Our french guy didn't have an easy win, but never got into problems either, which resulted into a nice 7-4 win.
Result: 7-4

5on5 (2pts)
Since we already won the first three submatches, we could enter the last one with a comfortable feeling. That kinda set us free, or killed Inf-d's spirit, because the 5on5 was a walk-over.
FrostBeule,
Kactus,
Sandro,
Sani0 and
wells had a perfect race, with some great team rounds.
wells even drove a pb and a dedimania record: 56.27 (WR 55.98).
Result: 7-0

Review
Third match, third victory. We're on track for a perfect groupstage, and we're keen on keeping it that way. In the return matches, we want to perform even better!
